Over. :)

Woots! First Year is over.

Well. Time sure flies. Experiencing life in Miri is sure interesting.
Miri: It's a small place. Was named a city a few years ago. Not many entertainment places, but of course, there are places which are quite interesting. Food,CB and so on. hehe

Studying in IPGKS has taught me:
Independence- As I've been staying in my shell all these years, this place has indirectly taught me how to do the basic living skills such as washing clothes, finding food/places etc etc. Get to do things without my parents Eagles eye view. Tho i think i'm still not firm in some cases. But, overall, the decision to come to study here is something that i chosen and should have taught of all consequences. No regret actually.

I've also meet a variety of new friends from different options- Seniors, My Class, My Hostel mates, Juniors. I'm really happy to know them.
We've also been to lots of places. As a class, we've been to places such as Lambir, Harts Chicken Rice and also the Institute's annual dinner. I've also joined choir and sometimes TICF. It's really enjoyable too as there is a beach nearby, 5 minutes walk only (where there is also a stall selling deep fried stuff which is delicious to eat if you walk a bit further). Going out with friends together is also exciting if we go on by bus to the city to buy stuff. Going to church with my friend too is also enjoyable as we get to buy food after that. Food is essential. I would say that i'm also very blessed to have friends who have cars to drive me around and that makes me get to know Miri more and more. Discover the place where actually, Miri, I would say, got lots of food places to enjoy. This gives me the opportunity to know Sarawak's Identity Food: Kon Lo Mee, Laksa, Siew Bee, Fried Marudi Kuih Tiaw/ Bai Guo/ Guo Tiao which is really really nice. It's so awesome that you must actually try it out to believe! Going exercise with friends also makes me motivated to be much more healthy and cut down some weight.

I'm also delighted to know that the lecturers here are great. I'm happy to be under them as well. It makes class interesting.

So.. That's it for this year. Enjoying Christmas time this year in KK!
Happy Christmas!

13 days

We had 13 days of studying/ activities. Non-stop from the 3rd to the 15th of October. One weekend was spent on TITAS solely. And i tell you. When you have no rest in the weekend, a person is really dead during the next weekdays. Mentally you are drained and physically tired.

And on the 14-15, my class organised a drama workshop for the juniors. It was a great experience. Tho it was pretty last minute, but everything went well. I'm really happy with what we had organised and planned. All of us were facilitators. We split ourselves into a few groups when handling the workshop. My group was to present about make-up, probs, and costumes. I presented the costume part. At first, I was really blur and nervous, but it ended quite smoothly. Then Jen and I organised a Fashion Show which was really surprising as all the groups were so creative. We were the emcee for the event. I wish i was better tho. The next day, we also had an interesting game which was organised by Doris and Aileen's group. We had a poetry recital in many different ways. Halil and I facilitate group 4 and we were proud of them. I really enjoyed how they did it.. But since it's the first time, i hope i'll do even better next time. We had so many games and activities for the juniors. They also produced a self made drama in just less than 2 hours of practice and brainstorming. During the closing ceremony, i had the privilege to be the emcee. It was the first time for me for a formal event and i really enjoyed it. :) Together with a friend, Hilman, I guess we handled the event pretty well. We also presented a drama during the closing ceremony after all the juniors presented theirs. And then all had ended well. Time for a great rest during the weekend before we head on and blast fully during the assignment week.

Mid-Sept News

There was a false alarm that Nasi Lemak 2.0 was going to be ban from playing in the cinema. This was due to some sources which were probably jealous or trying to conceal their mistakes. Those that tasted it, felt it. But anyway, I recommend this show to everyone. It shows the true colors of Malaysia, of which i felt happy to be honest. It's a funny and entertaining show that looks easy. But it's not that easy after all as it's covered by layers and layers of meaning. And when you delve into the last layer of the cake, you see that in fact, it's a really meaningful movie and it's the truth. You'll be guaranteed that you'll laugh and find it amusing from the beginning till the end.

I never did have a chance to watch Smurf when I was small. Heard of it maybe but not really interested. But I'm always fascinated at how people love it so much. And so off I went to watch Smurf the Movie on a Friday Night with some friends. It turns out that it was better than what I expected. Blue moon eh? They are super adorable.
I Smurf Them! X) ahaks!

This week was weird. I am at ease on odds days and busy on even days.

And 4.0 seems to be a nice number to me today as the short sem results are out! whee!! really happy with it! Praise the Lord!

Posted All the way with ♥

One of the things that I really miss a lot in IPG Kampus Gaya was my friends there. Though it seems that time flew so fast after  1 1/2 years being there, I can say that I learn many things while I was with my friends.

I would consider myself to be the most naive and innocent one. But some of the things I've learnt there would be to do group work, the culture of another friend, heard some slangs of the Peninsular, dealing and talking with friends, looking at personality traits- though I'm still one of the most naive one.

And one of the most unforgettable memory would be to cook with one of my best friend. >.< and some of the things that she introduced to me would be to cook Tom Yam Pasta and Mee bandung.

Since I missed it so so much. I asked my classmate to help buy for me from Tesco the stuff that I really wanted to eat. And it turns out that one of my closest friend from Gaya helped me to buy it and posted it here.

Thanks to Upin and B2 for making my day. And thanks to Miu Miu too for introducing it.

中秋节快乐!

八月十五

A few things will of course be missed when one is away from home. Well, this includes today. It's the mid-autumn day for Chinese where one would celebrate with the family- eating moon cakes, drink tea, playing the lanterns. Happy moments.

Instead, this year I celebrated in a mini way by visiting my neighbor and eat moon cakes and drink tea. It's was enjoyable. We chat away about Korean drama while drinking tea. LOL!~

There was also a school event about this festival held in my school on the 10 Sept organised by the Chinese association. The plays and dance were very interesting. I especially enjoyed one senior group where it was a story about 4 friends who went up a Hot-Air balloon.

The story goes like this:
Once upon a time, on a faraway, 4 close friends would meet up each year during this festival. There was one Chinese fashion Fairy-dressed girl, a young inventor, a young man with a fan and another cute girl.
So in the first year, all of them met up and the inventor created a hot-air balloon. The 4 friends went on it. Up on the sky, they saw the beautiful land and everything under them. All of a sudden, blistering thunders came by. However, the inventor only brought 3 parachutes, he forgotten the other. Ladies First. In order to be fair, the inventor would ask a question and they would need to answer it to get the parachute. So the first 2 questions were answered correctly by the girls and they had the parachute and jumped down. Then when the inventor asked the young man with the fan a question, the young man could not answer and he was pushed down from the hot air balloon leaving the last parachute for the inventor.

The second year came by, the 3 friends were remorse as the young man with the fan died. To their surprised, he lived! Die hard eh? And off they ride on another new hot-air balloon. So on another mid-autumn festival, they saw the land and everything beautiful under them. However, suddenly, a flock of birds came by and they had to jump down from the hot air balloon again. As the inventor did not know that his friend lived, therefore he only brought 3 parachutes. They used the method as they did last year. Q&A time. Results?: The first 2 questions were answered correctly again by the girls and they had the parachute and jumped off. Then when the inventor asked the young man with the fan a question, the young man could not answer and this time he volunteered to jump down himself from the hot air balloon leaving the last parachute for the inventor.

The third year came. And the 3 friends again hoped that their friend live. Sure enough, he did. And they went up on a new hot air balloon created by the inventor. They saw the land and everything beautiful under it. And they chatted away about the latest trend in games and stuff. It was hilarious when they talked about angry birds and played the game on the Big pillow iphone 4. To their surprise, suddenly, they real gigantic size angry birds came and attacked the hot-air balloon. While the inventor was searching for the parachutes, the young man with the fan  volunteered to jump down the hot air balloon due to his passed experience. After he jumped, the inventor said, WAIT! This time I brought 4 parachutes. But it was too late. LOL~~~ It was really funny on how the seniors acted. Really salute them!
So, I wish you Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 中秋节快乐!

Thinking.

It seems that there is a time for everything. Opportunities, a chance or a choice. Life and death. But anyway, here are some thoughts.

- Here I am in the sea of experiencing different emotions. Sometimes I do wonder what type of emotions should I exhibit. In different setting, you could produce different results to different people. Yet, it could be a mistake to some as what you show wasn't the right emotion for the occasion.

- Am I a hypocrite? I don't intend to if I am. Sometimes, my heart tells me what to do or say, but at the very last moment, my actions differ from what was meant to be done. Then I would blame myself again for not following what my heart tells me.

- A sad reality is that there is a need to go with the flow as it's the only way to survive. It's the only way to stay out from the oppressing stereotype created by the society. Life is hard. It's the decision you had made that makes what you have step in today.

- To create an atmosphere of peace, tolerating with people is needed. Give and take. Sooner or later, it becomes a habit. To just close one eye so that you won't need to waste time and energy and prevent from misunderstandings slowly creates a comfort zone of not bothering at all. Ignorance is bliss.

- There is a reason for different people who have entered your life at different place and time. Some good, some bad. They are the ones who shape, form and break us. But at the end, it is them who made us who we are today. Standing and facing the reality.

Thus, we shall continue to walk in our unpredictable journey because it is what makes it interesting so that you will have a story to tell in the future.

Whee~

After going through the thick and thin drilling life of the 3b semester, it's finally time to enjoy!

But here's a reflection of 3b sem.
3 subject in two months. I guess that it wasn't that heavy. But weekly assignments were killing. ICT was really challenging. But i did benefit a lot from it. We learn great stuff that most people did not know, or maybe knew. But here's a blog about it. Learning Diversity: We need to understand and memorize plentiful of stuff. I declare we're still EXAM Oriented. =.=''' While Teaching L&S in ESL Context was interesting. READ the whole TEXT book. wow! I guess i understand a lot more about how people listen. :) We have a listening tank! lol~

I enjoyed my hostel life. And I think IPG life is fun! You get to see the different types of people and you need to learn how to be flexible in order to maintain peace. Tolerant is needed everywhere. And a challenge is unavoidably bound in every good relationship. i guess only after it's successfully resolved then you only get to understand more and be closer to someone. So, remember that when you encounter a moment like this, don't back stab your friend but believe in yourself that you can make up with them. Unless, it could not be helped anymore la.

Life in Miri: ooo... I love to go outing! And Weekly LAKSA sangat BEST! There's not much entertainment that i like, so i guess studying there is good. And I've finally been to E-Mart. and My gosh! It's FAR, like 40 minutes to an hour away from town. tsk tsk tsk... But anyway, the place was a mammoth, freakish awesomely huge! Well, I do understand because that place is the only place for people to buy stuff, i mean based on the radius of 20 kilometer. So that place is the furthest place I've been in Miri, besides Lambir. Guess the next destination is Brunei. ;)

Now, i have 1 week of break! Time to recharge myself for the brand new 2nd year ahead! whee!
We're all batteries ba.
I remember a quote that says something like this: Don't Find a Life but go Create a Life that you want. :D hehehe. So Happy holiday people!

p/s: Have you noticed the Bold words?

moments

life is a cycle. no matter how high you are (like Mt. Everest), you will eventually get your way down again.

well, a lot of things has occur on the few weeks that has gone by. happy moments sad moments you name it.

but this week was pretty harsh. it was happy but then ended up quite sad. confusing too. assignments are on the rise like a tsunami attack. and then conflicts happened. and then i hurt my self again by accidentally hitting my toe on the door. now the entire fourth toe is like charcoal.

and i think in my life, this is one of the most remorse time ever. i mean, it could not be helped or avoided.

but then. life is a cycle. just hoping to see the fine silver line at every thundery cloud. and i know, one day when i reflect back in history, it will be another story to tell.

Kanak-kanak Riang!

It's been 4 weeks since
I've arrived here
everything going on is a rush
lectures, ppt, books = tonnes

but anyway,
here i am
sharing an experience
which happen on the 22nd July 2011

it was a Friday morning
where the day before,
I was watching Fruit Basket= watch like crazy
and continued watching after morning events ended.

So it was like this
Since it's Bulan Membaca
everyone in class was assign
to read to the Kindergarten kids next door.

My day finally arrived
which was on the 22nd July 2011
So wearing my inspiring color: Blue
Off i went at 10.30am to the room!

And there!
The kids were eager to listen to the story
that I was going to tell
Sang Monyet dan Buaya

Though they heard it before
they said that they don't mind to hear it again
and off I go
with the help of Nigel as an assistant to hold the book.

and I told the story
while standing up
and the kids were sitting down
listening with a full heart!

they were cheerful by being noisy
and they were lively when i asked them questions
they understand the moral of the story
and I hope that they will apply it in their life.

though my BM was pretty weird
but i manage through during that time
even though it was a short time
but it was memorable and fun!

They gave Salam
in the beginning and the end
I hope a second chance will be given
to share with them again!

So here ends the story of
Kanak-kanak Riang!

Confession

I never really successfully fooled anyone before. i mean, years after years, I'm not that good in fooling people.

i think on an April Fools Day, it is either
you (are the victim who) got fooled or you (are the culprit who) fool others
surely one of these category will befall upon you.

1st April 2011: is my biggest attempt to fool a big amount of people by lying on my FB and said that it was my birthday. . i mean i fooled over 150 people at the same day! i feel: Happy+ Excited+ guilty(alittlebit)+ overwhelm

but April Fools Day only come once in a year and it's the day you get the green light where you can fool anyone and everyone. the next time you can really fool everyone else again would be another 365 days later.

So Cheers everyone! Happy April Fool Day!

Factors of Exhaustion

Exhaustion is an act of energy level that is not being normal or what is suppose to be in. Exhaustion comes in many different forms- the physical form, mental form, spiritual form, and emotional form. But the following factors will be on the physical form and partly mental form. It has many different names too such as lethargic and fatigue.

One of the factors of exhaustion comes from malnutrition. That means, a person does not have the intake nutrition that one is suppose to have. If the body is weak, thus, this leads to a sick body and tiredness. So eat a well balanced diet to avoid yourself from this factor.

Another factor would be lack of sleep. When a person does not have enough sleep daily and in the long run, then the body would be tired and the thus, will lead to energy deficiency. Lack of sleep will also make the body week and will disrupt the activity that a person is performing as they did not do their very best in taking care of their own condition and thus effect their performance.

Stress also lead to this act as it uses lots of brain cells to think and lead to the person's mental drainage of energy. Stress occurs from the working and studying fields of life. Normally, a person wants to solve an issue or work or assignment and thus involves stress to do it. Doing last minute work also creates stress at an even higher level. Worrying and caring about someone also cause stress. So sometimes, it's a good factor and most of the times bad, cause people who have high blood pressure cannot take it or else~Heart Attack!

Lack of/ No/ Inconsistent Exercise also contributes to exhaustion. Exercise is at paramount important as it heats up the body to have good blood flow in the body and this makes the person feels fresh! Exercise could be as simple as walking, jogging and the extreme, gym and stuff!

In conclusion, if you wanna have a healthy body and prevent yourself from exhaustion, take care of yourself by having a well balanced intake of nutritional stuff, get sufficient sleep, don't procrastinate and exercise regularly to go on a life full of happiness. After all, Einstein ever said that smart people solves problem but geniuses prevents them. cheers~

Cockroach's visit on 20th March

Once upon a time on a one fine Sunday, Rachel got back to her hostel from KK.
She started to sweep the floor, mop the floor, and tidy the bed. Soon, after everything was settle [went to church and then had lunch and then got back], she started to unload her stuff.

After unpacking the huge luggage, she later open the black bag. She found a few packet of almond biscuits, a loaf of bread [which she forgotten to pack the kaya in =.=''], bananas and kuih cincin.

Then she decided to store them up properly. Put things according to the place that was intended and then after thinking and organizing the place and every other food, at last, she decided to put the Almond biscuits in the drawer.

So, she pulls the drawer and holy macaroni! She saw a Mr. Cockroach at the side of the drawer. Feeling shocked and stiff, she tries to stay calm and pretended nothing happened. So that the cockroach thinks that the girl in front of him is unobservant.

But little that he knew, the girl in front of Mr. Cockroach took a yellow slapper [i mean the stick to kill the mosquito thingy.] to hit it. But she missed! and Mr. Cockroach ran away. He is swift alright.

Adrenaline instantaneously pumped into my system and my brain starts to function properly to think of a strategy to find and kill it.

She pulls both of the drawer out, took everything out to make sure it isn't in and clear everything that was near the drawer at a radius of 1 meter.

after exploiting and exploring the items in the drawer, Mr. Cockroach was not found. Rachel then looked inside the drawer. Low and behold, she found the Cockroach on the top of the drawer, hanging at the side.

and then, she ran to her opposite neighbor's room and called for help!- to borrow her the Ridsect explaining that there is a Cockroach in the room in Cantonese. "Kat Zat" cantonese slang.

so, as she equip herself with the yellow slapper and the Ridsect, she steps into the room again boldly and aimed at the Cockroach. She pressed the lid and spray the Cockroach! It ran vigorously and aggressively. Running and trying to fly, it was still fast. However, it was not as fast as the yellow slapper which lightning the Cockroach dead. flat as a pancake.

I slapped it more than five times but less than ten to make sure that it was dead. But it was not, the leg and it's antenna were still moving. I slapped it again and sprayed it. Feeling elated, i wrapped it up in a fragrant plastic, knowing that it dislikes nice floral, fresh and it's fragrant smell. and after putting it in, i know it would die somehow.

So thus, Rachel ended the life of Mr. Cockroach which she did not regret killing it. Instead, her experience thermometer just gain by a few XP. What a Sunday!

Choice

Our life is destined by the choice that are laid in front of us.

Saving a live by donating your drop of blood is a choice.
Choosing a road like the Poem "The Road Not Taken" is also a choice.
To scold or to love is a choice.
To work hard or to be lazy is a choice.
To help the poor or be selfish is a choice.
To control your level of sugar/ fats/ salt intake is a choice.
To listen to one side or to both side or to non of the side of the story/incident is a choice.
To be friendly or to be rude is a choice.
To drive fast or moderate speed is a choice.
To be happy or to be sad is a choice.
To accept the offer or to reject it is a choice.
To spend time with God or watching TV is a choice.
To choose to recycle or just throw rubbish in a bin or on the road is a choice.

It depends on how we see things from our own perspective. weather we choose to care for something that relates to you or not. imagine how powerful is it when we just say a yes or a no to a question. some people had suicide because of it- the stress that are transpiring in their lives.

well, when working alone. you can make something. you can choose to do it the best. coz you're in control of it. But when working as a TEAM which means Together wE Achieve More, you will really make the whole thing into a blast. i personally never thought that group work would always turn out well when we really put our hearts into it and believing that we could do it well. this is because, when the job is divided, you will stay focus on what you wanna research and stuff. so in terms of quality, you'll get it.

one thing that will need everyones contribution to the teamwork would be to choose to live in a Greener life. we now see the earth's climate change in our eyes. Look at the Tsunami in Aceh. the whole ecosystem was just gone in a blink of an eye. Not forgotten Sze Chuan's Earthquake that also did took thousand of lives. Look at Brisbane now. isn't it a sign? how much more obvious signs do we need to continue our daily lives in order to lead to a Greener lifestyle?

We not only need to live a Greener lifestyle. but each and everyone of us also need to check in our moral meter. are we greedy? are we really sincere in saving the earth? Millions has been splash to make people realise and create awareness to save the earth. but the word called Ignorant or Indifferent are just plainly seen on people's live. Actually in this current stage, we couldn't just have awareness for it but to also do something about it. We must set it into actions.

If only, the people's attitude could just change for the better. if only we just cared a little more. if only, we could work hand-in -hand as a society, nation, continent and the world, we could just save the earth for the future. All again, it all starts from a choice weather we wanna take that action or not. after all, we are neighbors and we're living on the same earth. which we call it-HOME.

it's your choice now.
Appreciate it and take an action to save the earth or lose it in just a matter or time.

Music- my taste

Music. It is a wonderful tune that sooths the ear. I really love listening to music. sometimes i just tend to listen to the tune without listening to the words properly. i will only listen to the lyrics carefully after i really like the song.

one of my dreams in my BIG DREAM LIST is that i wanna own at least an I-pod shuffle or an I-pod touch or maybe even an I-Phone and put all of my favorite songs in there. X)

anyway, some of the songs that i really love to hear from and i dont get sick of it even when it's replaying for the 100th times are songs from Artists such as Taylor Swift, Owl City, Muse, Bruno Mars, Paramore, David Choi, Sam Tsui, Jay Chou, One Republic, TVXQ, Super Juniors, and Coldplay. of course, there are many more artists out there that produce songs that are awesome, but all the songs from the artist that i mention are really nice.

Songs by Auburn and Jonathan Tse are cool as well.

Anyway, i'll tell you some of the current songs i really love to hear.
That Girl- David Choi
Speak Now- Taylor Swift
Enchanted-Taylor Swift
All About Him- Auburn

XD hehe, click on the first and firth music to enjoy. ^.^

‎2005 - First time we met, she was always smiling (and still is). Almost impossible to see her with a different facial expression. If so, it must be her EVIL TWIN! Despite having so many reasons to love her, the main reason she is my lil' siz is coz she is a fellow GLEEK! Remember those memorable outings we had together! So much fun! Such a joy to be around that girl! Wish u well girl!

XD hello

ok peeps! i guess you've been waiting for a long time already. well. it's only the first day of school today. :P but anyway, i'll tell you a few comparison between IPG Kampus Gaya hostel with IPG Kampus Sarawak.

Pictures... i'm kinda lazy to take but when i really feel so free until i have nothing to do, i'll snap some for you to see. XD hehehe

WARNING! This is only from my point of view. not meant to set well, at least you finally get to know other campus life. ^.^ take it the positive side.

IPG Kampus Gaya hostel
Toilets- some doors got problem. not that bright. tiles old.
Hostel room- room for 2,3,4,8 people. some cupboard cacat. table for study-alot of place to put your books and stuff. carpeted. wall colour- old.
Room Space- BIG.
Water- got filter water to drink.
Distance- 105 stairs up and down not including more stairs to class and more steps in walking.

IPG Kampus Sarawak Hostel
Toilet- clean, bright. considered not bad. better than outside restaurant toilets. lol. tiles pretty new.
Hostel room- room for 2 people. cupboards good- screw still in place quite solid. table for study- not much space after you put stuff on the table. tiled. wall colour- not old. i guess, it was painted a year ago?
Room Space- small
Water- filter all rosak. need to buy from outside. :s
there is a so called TV room here with no TV. but other blocks got la. Astro lagi tu.
there is also a laundry place.
Distance- Walk roughly 300-400 steps. stairs only to class. second floor. so actually, dont feel tired at all. i guess it's coz immune already to Gaya's stairs.

so it's good to have exercise in Gaya for all people there. at least in Gaya, it's easy to go find food thru lubang tikus and go to town.
Miri- town in 20 minutes away. food only exist in the cafe... which i heard was considered expensive but the same price as Gaya cafe. >.<

dont worry people. i'm adapting myself to have a good life. well, i must say i was proud of myself to wash and hang the clothes and take it down and fold it nicely myself. lol. it's a norm to you people already. XD "salute you people man!"

now the first day of school got homework already. got to do it now! toodles!
